Player Development Host
Job Description
PLAYER DEVELOPMENT HOST
Reporting To: Club Director (with dotted line to VIP Marketing Director)
Main objectives of the job:
Primary objective is to generate new gaming business for Alea Nottingham by developing customer relationships and promoting the casino. Additional responsibilities include maintaining existing customer base, administrative duties, and organisation of VIP events.
This is a commission based role, with an uncapped commission of 10% of net Theoretical from commissionable New Gaming Customers or Inactive Customers as defined below. Failure to fulfil any of the required responsibilities or duties listed below may result in any commission to be forfeit. The commission is paid quarterly. Production will be reviewed bi-annually for significant net Actual. If net Actual exceeds net Theoretical for that time period, the difference between 10% of net Actual and 10% of net Theoretical will be paid.
Theoretical– Defined as a function of average bet, time played, and game type as recorded by our internal tracking system less gaming tax and comp activity.
Actual – The net amount that a customer wins or loses as recorded by our internal tracking system less gaming tax and comp activity.
Comp Activity– Any internal or external expenses associated with capturing customer, including all complimentaries.
New Gaming Customer– Defined as a customer that does not have a pre-existing account or gaming activity in the customer database.
Inactive Customer– Defined as a customer that has a pre-existing account in the customer database, but has not had any comped or gaming activity in the last 13 months.
Commissionable– Defined as the first three trips from a New Gaming Customer or Inactive Customer that has been requested through Salesforce at least 24 hours prior to their first visit (for Inactive, this is considered their first visit after 13 months of inactivity).
Location:
Alea Nottingham, but the job holder may be called upon to perform duties at any of the company’s other clubs or location as required.
Working Hours:
You may have core hours, however you will work 40 hours per week on a varying rota, which includes weekends and night shifts with flexibility to provide service and contact at varying times dependant upon the needs of the business and the delivery of project work. Hours worked beyond a normal working week will not be entitled to receive additional pay or time off in lieu with the exception of working on a public holiday
Main Duties:
Generating New Gaming Business
The position will require understanding and researching direct competitors. The Player Development host will be required to seek out new business contacts in Nottingham and the greater area. Host will also have intimate knowledge of hotels, bars, clubs, golf courses, and other appropriate retailers that may be sources of new affluent, VIP gaming customers. It will also involve contacting VIPs via outbound phone calls and other means of communication, with the goal to increase first-time visit from new customers.
Increase VIP visitation
This relates to leveraging existing VIPs in order to generate new VIP population. This will involve understanding and improving our VIP amenity offerings (i.e. football tickets, hotel partnerships) and staying current with our competitors. Position will also be required to fulfil assigned Salesforce tasks and leads.
Administrative Tasks
This pertains to administrative support needed for the development and hosting of VIP customers.
Specific Activities:
- Monitor results on Bally CMP and understand player profitability
- Initiate, create, fill, and execute VIP events
- Provide pro forma analysis and justification for expenses related to customer development and events
- Utilise Salesforce and complete any assigned tasks
- To understand and follow all regulatory and compliance standards.
- To ensure the highest possible standards of customer service delivered through being courteous and technically competent.
- To always display the four key behaviours of the Customer Service model.
- To actively assess day-to-day customer service needs and respond appropriately.
- To positively support company wide customer service initiatives.
- To assure you maintain and reflect the brand values at all times
- To uphold and support the carrying out of the Clubs objectives.
- To create an environment which all staff will work as a team.
- To ensure that a good relationship is upheld between other departments at all times to ensure guest experience is optimised
- To ensure that all Key holders names and information is kept confidential
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Customer relations experience at a VIP level, used to dealing with affluent individuals
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with peers and subordinates, plus senior management
- Organized and efficient with administrative tasks
- Methodical and attentive to detail
- Proactive, self-sufficient and able to work with minimal supervision
- Proficient in MS Office in particular Word and Excel.
- Adept with working with data and understanding trends regarding sales figures, profits etc
- High level of personal grooming
