Punto 2000

Punto 2000 is the new, faster more exciting variant of Punto Banco - a version of the famous French game of Baccarat.

The essential difference between the traditional Punto Banco game and Punto 2000 lies in the payment of wagers made on the Bank.
In the 'traditional' version, wagers that the Bank won were paid at odds of 19 : 20, if successful. Bets on the Player were paid even money, i.e. odds of 1 : 1.
In Punto 2000, wagers that the Bank win are paid even money EXCEPT when the bank wins with a score of '6', in which case odds of 1 : 2 are paid. Bets on the Player are paid even money as before.
This minor change simplifies the calculation of winning bets and makes for a faster more exciting game. It also makes it easier for the players to see that they have been paid correctly. Punto 2000 is now being offered at all UK-based LCI clubs.
