| Street
Corner, Six Line Similarly, you may bet on a row of three numbers, called a street, where the pay-out is 11-1. On four numbers, called a corner, as shown, the pay-out is 8-1. On six numbers, with the betting chip on the six line, the pay out is 5-1. |

| Neighbours Some players like to bet on the neighbours, that is, a group of numbers clustered together on the wheel, for example 3 26 0 32 15. If you wanted to make this bet you would put 5 chips down and ask the dealer for "zero and the neighbours". |
| Even
Chances In addition to the numbers on the roulette lay-out, there are several other popular bets, which are paid at even money and are known as 'even chance bets'. Red or black, odd or even, high or low (which means 19-36 or 1-18) all pay out one to one. If zero comes up on these even money bets, the player loses only half his stake, and can use the other half to play again. |
| Dozens or Columns Finally, the dozens or columns offer another kind of bet, paying out 2-1. You can choose the first dozen (1-12), second dozen (13-24) or third dozen (25-36). Likewise you can bet on the columns at the end of the lay-out, so that if any number in the column you choose comes up, you win 2-1 your stake. If zero comes up your dozens or column bets lose. |
